Synopsis:
Jenny Moore is a young woman who works in her father’s tobacconist shop. She lives at home and has a normal life.
One night Jenny is visited by a specter, Ellen Hanter, (the mistress of the mythic Nietzschean character Zarathustra) and is whispered the gift of ‘heaven’. Her life is forever changed.
Jenny has to hide in crowds to dampen heaven’s effects upon her. As a wind shows itself upon the surface of a lake, the crowds tell her of other women who must be whispered the message. Jenny must find these women at exactly the right time or else the effects will be catastrophic.
By the age of 29, Jenny has learnt to cope with the weight of such matters, by travelling constantly and relentlessly. Her fragility, directness and humanity touch all those she encounters and unbeknown to Jenny, many lives are changed by her subtle acts of compassion.
Maurizzio, Sean, Martin and Gogo all fall in love with this remarkable woman and in their own way try to take care of her, while following her, or tracking her down.
We see Maurizzio finally dive into Jenny’s world and propose a life together, and also, we observe the passing on of heaven to Jesse Para, the next woman to cope with such power.
To love her you must follow her, and so a network is organised to collaborate in the task of being her guardian. They follow, track and protect Jenny, while sometimes sacrificing their own families and lives as a consequence.
