Having a really exciting day just thinking about the film today... i'm supposed to editing my second (last) novel Pure Bred Chihuahua and reading the predraft pages to Spoken By Crowds (novel) but thinking about hair, costume and jewellry is putting me off. I'm supposed to be thinking of sales agents for my last film, literary agents for the last book but i have this piece of jewellry from this film (SBC) that is obsessing me now.

just to say something about Spoken By Crowds the film. I suppose as an introduction... The film and the screenplay are part two of a three part novel. I am in the middle of part I, we are making the film as we speak and for the next year, and then I shall be writing part III. This is quite a piece I hope.

Finding the actress for Jenny, the main actress was really tricky when she's pictured in your head, not just from a read novel but in a novel one is writing oneself. And Lindsay Vann has taken it on. It's going to be an amazing experience for us all I hope trying to tap into this great role and story (if I may say so myself). She's going to be fantastic. And the cast so far, although unknown, are perfect. Just need to make it now.

Well I've got the site design almost ready - took a little longer than I thought - but I think it's ok. You can pretty much ignore the links for the moment as they do not really lead anywhere. I was loath to put "in construction" pages, but if I didn't I'd have had to have republished the entire blog again.
I'll focus on the promo pack tomorrow evening. In the afternoon I'm having a meeting with Rob our lighting-cameraman-type-guy, and we're going to organise some test shots and work out how best to construct our green-screen. It should be fun getting back to the digital effects side of things.
I might work on the website a little more tonight, we'll see.

It will be interesting to see, (and this diary for the cast and crew will be a kind of document to this) how the energy of the film moves on, as time grows closer to the shoot, how the various shoots go, how things go after the film is completed, and polished. The ambition being to make a beautiful beautiful film low-scale or grand-scale. With a wonderful energy from the story and from within the making, of Spoken By Crowds. God Bless this Ship!!

The film is gaining momentum already. It's wonderful when you see storyboards and scenes that have been hidden in scripts, drawings, notes and Jpegs start to waken in the actors' minds and rehursals and in the crews ideas and imaginations... This is getting very exciting. Still five months till shoots begin but things are growing more and more solid. Thanks to all who are already giving so much energy.

I was going to do some work on the website tonight, but I'm a little tired after this evening's promo shoot. The rushes look great and we have some good stuff to work with. Look out for some stills once I've got the full website up and running.
I've got to get my producer's head around all this promo work and try to get us a little money before our autumn shoot date. Still, we have a meeting with screenyorkshire in three week's time and it'll be interesting to see what they say.
I've invited Marco (the writer and director) into the blog, so you should be getting some words from him soon.
For now, good night.

The first post . . .
Welcome to the Blog for our new film Spoken by Crowds.
Over the next few days I'll be messing around with the format of the pages and getting everything looking nice. Then I'll be working on the film website itself.
Once this blog is up and running I'll invite the director, the cast, and the crew to join in.
For now I'll employ that over used of web terms, "under construction".
Keep on calling back.
