Happy Eatser Everyone
I'm enjoying this Easter very much. Finn is just amazing. Just truly Awesome but I shall not go on too much.
Film stuff. The colour correction has reached a significant stage along side the first draft of the sound mix. Most of the piniky stuff is done so the thousands of touch ups cut to cut, vowel sound to vowel sound is done (mostly) and now the visuals are in 70 chapters ready for a more sweeping look (plus a B&W look) and the sound is in its 50 or 60 chapters.
Interestingly enough the late nights and no sleep with baby has actually added the amount of time one can work and render which is weird but i've actually got more done with the baby than without. So woah!
I am tired now but so very happy and ... but for the new scenes, adr, voice overs, and a bit more oh and music we are there. Not bad hey! A very exciting stage of film making when the truly labourious stuff is near its end and it's the finishing touches, the proverbial cherry that is left. So I hope it carries on like this and we should have a version reasonably soon.

FINNIAN MARCELLO ZAFFINO Becki and my newborn baby boy began on 16th March 10 38 and 50seconds
He is phenomenal...
We have never been so busy, tired, enthralled, bemused, selfless and so very happy in all our lives. The world is love and beauty. He is just everything ...
Obviously the film will slow as Becki had a caesarian section and so she can't do much around the house which makes editing a little tricky as i'm a little more busy and working more at worky work, oh and little Finn who keeps me watching and watching and holding and loving may take my attention but I feel more determined than ever as a film-maker which is cool...
It is the turn of colour and correction and seeing what needs to be done there. Another long job which I am very daunted by but it shall get done as soon as possible... then there are atmospherics and music and a couple more scenes and so we are getting there... so keep your fingers crossed that I've the energy, i'm in unchartered ground as life and energy goes, so it'll be interesting to see ...

I have seen Marco to congratulate him on the birth of his son and he showed me many photographs - this is going to be the most photographed baby ever. And what a beautiful baby he is.

I think this'll be the last blog I can do before Wednesday which will be, God willing, the birth of Baby Zaffino. (S)He (most likely) has been present from the first shoot proper with Gogo through to now so he's been an element within this film and never been away from the forefront of my mind. When you guys weren't told to when you were at about shoot two three or four he was there from the outset.
I'd just like to thank Becki for catering for us while she was in this condition and all of you when you realised how you took care of her especially Jacq and Linz. Jaqc too became an amazing support for me as my main emotional support was having my baby and so the roles were reversed. I am truly endebted to you Jacq for your care those last shoots.
So onto wednesday and life will change for Becki and I forever, the film will slow down and I may go for coffee a little less.
Nik and Rob have the first draft of the sound mixed version of the film and I hope they have inspiration on the sound design and colour and we can see what atmospheres sound can make. I shall get back on the ship as soon as I can. I have no idea what will be the case but I am a true obsessive and this film is very special to me and you've worked so hard on it, i can't see me stopping when there maybe spaces here or there to work I always feel like i'm editing with you guys whispering in my ears from different parts of the country, or other countries and so I shan't stop,.. but I can't promise anything.
Thanks Linz, Rob, Nik&Ali, Jaqc, Buck, and obviously my lovely family, Beck's family... etc etc for your kind words of encouragement for wednesday

Hello everyone, Sara is back, well only till Sunday, a flying visit, but already crammed two coffees in, a meal, an additional piece for voice over translated and recorded, and Saturday more Italian and re-recording -a couple of the english Voice Overs that weren't quite right as they were recorded in a rush before she left for italy with out the visuals at hand so they didn't quite gel so hopefully that'll be cool.
I'm hoping to have talks with a symphony soon over music, wish us luck... I don't know if they'll just laugh at me but I've got a meeting (90% sure of at least that) so that's something...
Rob says Abdullah's tracks are sounding beautiful
The atmospherics are being thought about some sounds twisted within the sound mix and some to come
A Polish poem has been recited and recorded for Ishka, translated and performed by Gosia,
A Nigerian poem is on the way for the lobby scene
two extra scenes are being written if not three
and we have a slim shot at that orchestra
It's really quite happening to say things are slacking ... ... ......
now to pasta and proirities
lots doing, lots not, but lots none the less
And Joe I've got a reply and there's no Cameras in at present.
I hope all is well with you Londoners, Jacq, Joe, Cath

It was so nice to see Matt again it felt like ages. It was exciting to talk of future projects and to see his head ticking on possible things, what I don't know but I hope to work with him as an actor and writer in The Grey Hinterlands which will be something for me to leave the writing to the actors. My writing will be setting poetics and in the edit for the script for the play. Very exciting.
Another very exciting thing is that I am 32 Yeah! Yesterday, and today I finished the EQ on as much as I can until adding foley adr music etc... (hopefully the musicians screening will happen very soon,) and then there will be another mix down. An intense wav watching plethara of hz-y goodness.
So onto colour and creating sounds... that's a pretty exciting time.
Oh yes and the baby , god willing, will not be long at all. Maybe two weeks... oh my !! as Dorothy might say. Bye Bye Kansas hello poppy fields and munchkins.
So much happening.
