I am just imagining how life is for Marco at the moment. Work, Sleep, Baby, Film. Not necessarily in that order. Friday, June 24, 2005

Hey Joe and all (and congratulations Carl HEHE) The film hasn't really moved since my last blog, however, at last we are making progress on gathering the troups (gathering troups happens in its own time somehow) for adr as nothing really can be done till the sounds are filled in. Buck is getting back for his scene, Nik and I will be chatting tomorrow, I have a few words for Harry's scene and Linz has quite a few bits to do. I will probably need to do Carl and Linz's scene too. It's been quite frustrtating but that's the lull bits, one not having the energy at present to go head long into the work as doing Becki's job and having Baby is consumming and taking no prisoners and edit time is fucking sparse,... two, people's lives are not obviously revolving around a film and so organising musicians and actors is not always as quick as an obsessive like me can handle (that's my problem not theirs as their work should be/is always appreciated), thirdly the work is so phinicky, crossing Ts and dotting I..s it's take longer to do these bits than the whole of the on set production. But yes, things are so fucking close, the film's been somewhat dorment for about three to four weeks as there's nothing to do till I collate the sounds and adr... then we need the two new scenes and the mother fucker is done. It'll be then we can do all the tests, Nik's genius will be so important here for final transposing and transcoding on the different formats .... and then motherfucker mother fucker festivals shall be entered. That's the update i'm afraid. Not really one. But it is moving, Now it is, I've got today some confirmations and adr will begin very very shortly and then it'll be editing while the world sleeps. That seems to be the only time I can budget for :) Gave lecture in Carlise by the way. Went Very well, through the talk and communications up there we should have the film in one festival already, that of the Carlisle International. Which is cool!!!!! Right to beddy-byes sweet dreams all

Hi Joe and all, I'm sure Marco will post here and tell everyone how it's all going, I'm not going to preempt that post, but I believe all is going well. I'm looking forward to being brought up to date over coffee on Friday morning. In the meantime I've decided to move the (other) movie discussion-type-things to another blog. You can find movie related stuff at: http://attheflicks.blogspot.com Have fun :)
Congratulations Carl, I wish you both all the best. Amongst all this talk of Star Wars, Sin City and Napolean Dynamite I have noticed that S.B.C. is going unmentioned. I understand that people constantly asking how its going must feel like an added pressure and that is not how it is meant but, er, hows it going? I heard that a few scenes were re-shot and you guys were in ADR a while ago. Hows the music coming along? - Joe- Friday, June 17, 2005
hey hey everyone in Spoken by crowds world, what's happening ? The mysterious Mr Z is even more mysterious than usual, has the bloke stopped drinking coffee or what ?Hope all is going well in the Birkby hermitage anyhowand hope every one is in rude health. and If you have a spare moment in these endless English summer days of unbroken sunshine and clear blue skies, you could do worse than spend 90 minutes in the company of Napoleon Dynamite. hi everyone, ive not been on here for a while, just winding down as i approach the summer holidays for my well earned rest for 5 n a half weeks due to my stressful job as a teacher. so ive glanced thru ur recent bloggs, and have a few questions, firstly episode 3 is pants but so are all of the others arent they lol, i aint seen sin city but matthews description of bruce willis pulling off a guys nuts sounds good, whens the premier of spoken by crowds, and finally im getting married december 3rd, no venue sorted yet for the night do, but everyone is invited i will let u all know the venue asap see u all soon carl Saturday, June 11, 2005
Unbelieveable film, I can't wait for the DVD commentary Tuesday, June 07, 2005
Marco, you have to go and see Sin City - it rocks! And as a fan of over the top comedy violence, I highly recommend it - if only to see Bruce Willis pull a guys nuts off and bash his head into a yellowy pulp. Fantastic. Sunday, June 05, 2005
I cannot wait to see Sin City!!! Also I can feel a new lease of life for our film So here's to it :)) Saturday, June 04, 2005
I agree with thee Joe. Episode 3 was pants, but couldn't we have guessed? At least we got Star Wars Lego out of it all. BTW have changed the code of the blog a little, this should tidy up the archives (it's been over 14 months now since we started this crazy weblogging). Thursday, June 02, 2005
LOL Joe, sounds pretty bad. Although I might have to go and see it because I've heard it has an Oedipus reference, and it could be important to my research. Some you win.
Just been to see Star Wars. Wow. Lucas you are a git. Thats another two hours of my life that you have stolen. The tagline for that movie should have come at the end of the credits, "Revenge of the Sith: You watched it, You can't unwatch it". Wednesday, June 01, 2005 |
